The 13 Books That Changed My Manifestation Game Forever

books May 15, 2025

I’ve read hundreds of books on manifestation, and these 10 are my absolute favorites when it comes to learning about the Law of Assumption and the Law of Belief.

The order in which I’ve listed them doesn’t reflect how much I like one more than the other. Ranking them feels pointless to me. Depending on your mood, needs, and state of consciousness, you’ll resonate with different books at different times.

Just trust your intuition when choosing which one to get.

For transparency: I may earn a small commission if you purchase any of the books through my links. This does not affect the price for you. I’d truly appreciate it if you used my links as a way of supporting each other. :)

1. Neville Goddard – The Complete Reader

This is, in my opinion, the foundation of the Law of Assumption. Neville’s writings are deeply symbolic and often mystical, which can make them feel complex, especially for beginners. But if you’re ready to go deep and truly understand how imagination creates reality, this collection is essential. I chose a version that doesn’t just include his books but also features his radio lectures and lessons. Right now it's one of the most complete compilations available.

2. Genevieve Behrend – Your Invisible Power
One of the few women active in this field back then. Her writing carries a maternal, nurturing energy that creates a special kind of connection. A beautiful recommendation and also a quick, inspiring read.

3. Dr. Joseph Murphy – The Power of Your Subconscious Mind
This was the very first book I read on the topic at 19. It opened the door for me, led to my very first big manifestation success story (I manifested passing my driver’s license exam without studying), and has brought me countless manifestations over the past 18+ years. A timeless classic that continues to deliver. Easier to understand for beginners. A great starting point.

4. Charles F. Haanel – The Master Key System
One of the most structured and mentally disciplined works on manifestation. It reads almost like a training program for your consciousness—clear, logical, and straight to the point. If you like no-fluff, practical guidance and don’t mind a bit of repetition, this book will build a strong inner foundation.

5. Earl Nightingale – The Strangest Secret
Short, powerful, and straight to the core. This book distills the essence of manifestation into one clear idea: we become what we think about. It’s simple, yet incredibly impactful. A perfect reminder when you need to refocus your mind. Many people use this book in a meditative way, by reading or listening to it once a week, or once a month.

6. James Allen – As a Man Thinketh
A poetic and philosophical classic that reminds you of the quiet power of thought. It’s short, but every sentence hits deep. Ideal for moments when you need to reconnect with the inner stillness and responsibility of conscious thinking.

7. Florence Scovel Shinn – The Complete Collection
I absolutely love her. She stands out because her approach and techniques often differ from the other - more intuitive, faith-driven, and rich in practical affirmations. She was also one of the few women of her time active in this field, and her voice carries a rare blend of feminine wisdom and spiritual authority. I highly recommend the full collection, as each book offers its own gold and timeless truth.

8. Charles Baudouin – Suggestion and Autosuggestion
I discovered him through Dr. Joseph Murphy’s books. While it’s not one of the most essential reads on this list, it’s a great complementary piece. More psychological than mystical, but incredibly valuable if you want to understand why and how techniques like affirmations actually work. A solid bridge between science and manifestation.

9. Dr. Joseph Murphy – How to Use the Power of Prayer
A beautiful and spiritually rich book that shows how to use prayer as a manifestation tool. Less about traditional religion, more about aligning your subconscious with what you desire. I’ve found it deeply comforting and effective, especially in emotionally intense phases. A wonderful companion to The Power of Your Subconscious Mind.

10. Napoleon Hill – Think and Grow Rich
An international bestseller and one of the most powerful books for manifesting money, career success, business goals, and material abundance. It’s practical, focused, and builds a strong mindset around wealth and achievement. A must-read if you're manifesting in the financial or professional realm.

Dr. Joe Dispenza – Book Collection (Becoming Supernatural, You Are the Placebo, Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself)
These 3 books are currently not always available individually, and honestly, I recommend reading all of them anyway. Together, they form a complete system for deep inner transformation. Perfect for manifesting physical and emotional healing and for making fundamental shifts in your life. A brilliant combination of science and spirituality that teaches you how to consciously reprogram your body, mind, and energy field.
